What is an Islamic Speakers Bureau?
The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Vancouver is a non-profit organization which provides presentations about Islam and Muslims which are academic, informative, objective, neutral, but never devotional in nature.
The presentations we provide are professional, well organized and free of charge. All presentations that we provide adhere to the clauses of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms pertaining to the teaching of religion within schools. Therefore, we emphasis that by no means do we preach about Islam. Our goal is to provide a resource to supplement the social studies ciriculum with regards to the topic of Islam and Muslims.
Currently we are offering presentations for the following groups of people:

What are our objectives?
Our educational programs meet the following objectives:
- Provide knowledge about Islam & Muslims, teaching Islamic fundamentals, including Islamic beliefs, practices and values.
- Provide tailored information about Muslims as it relates to the needs of the public institutions.
- Foster a sustainable relationship between public institutions and the local Muslim community.
